Scala's White Card Program offers a face-to-face, engaging workshop with local facilitators, ensuring personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements for construction work in Tasmania.
Being a manager is tough. You find yourself juggling the demands of your team, striving to meet targets, and keeping everyone motivated. And let's not forget the constant pressure of proving your worth to the higher-ups. There's that nagging self-doubt, the exhaustion from late-night emails, and the frustration when plans don't turn out as expected. It's hard, and some days, it feels like it's just too much.
Construction work requires strict adherence to safety protocols. The lack of proper training can lead to accidents, injuries, and non-compliance with regulations. Online training might meet the requirements but often lacks the depth and engagement needed for true understanding.
Seek more than just compliance with a hands-on grasp of construction safety. Scala's White Card Program delivers an interactive face-to-face workshop, diving deep into safety practices, hazard recognition, risk control, and proper PPE use.
At Scala, we believe in the value of face-to-face learning; the way it should be. Local experts across Tasmania facilitate our White Card Program, offering an interactive experience that stands out from online alternatives. This program ensures you are well-prepared to work safely in the construction industry, with a focus on practical understanding and application.

Developed with extensive consultation and feedback, the delivery model, topics and outcomes of this program are designed to have maximum impact and enjoyment for participants from start to finish.
Each of your module topics requires:
Weekly
1-2 hours a week: Dedicate a small amount of time to engage with learning materials in the 4-5 weeks prior to each workshop.
Workshops (Quarterly)
2 days per quarter: Attend a two-day workshop for each of the four modules. We provide the schedule upfront, so you can plan accordingly.
You will spend the year with 20-30 other participants as you interact and learn from your peers working closely together throughout the year; bringing a bucket load of energy, experience, ideas and support to the table.
Building relationships, industry connections and friendships long after you graduate from your program.
Ever left a fantastic workshop and struggled to implement everything you learned? It happens to everyone, so don't feel too bad. It won't be happening with this program. Too much is at stake.
Join experienced facilitators, guest speakers, subject experts and qualified assessors as you interact and develop with large groups of participants just like you.
You will return on day two to slow down, reflect, share ideas, talk through challenges and develop plans that suit your specific needs.
What happens back at work is all that counts. We know that life and work will do their best to distract you from developing these skills.
We'll be there, supporting you to make change happen with plans, calls, emails and visits to coach you through your individual journey.
We won't be letting you go that easy! Join us and your peers online, or join working groups to receive more support between the workshops.
Take it as a chance to focus on your projects, or just turn up to say hello. You will find these sessions are great at keeping you engaged.
